Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning Terhadap Pemahaman Kontekstual Peserta didik

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in enhancing students’ contextual understanding in the subject of Fiqh for Grade V at SDIT Annur. The background of this research is the low level of students’ conceptual understanding due to the dominance of conventional teacher-centered learning methods. The study employed a quantitative method with a Quasi-Experimental design involving two classes: an experimental class and a control class. Data collection techniques included tests, observation, and documentation, using a multiple-choice test instrument that had undergone validity, reliability, difficulty level, and discrimination index testing. The results showed that: (1) the implementation of PBL received positive responses from teachers (76.4%) and students (71%), (2) there was an increase in contextual understanding from an average pre-test score of 73 to a post-test score of 87, and (3) the N-Gain test result was 0.51, which falls into the moderate category and indicates sufficient effectiveness.
