Peran Guru Pendidikan Agama Islam Dalam Mengatasi Kesulitan Belajar Siswa Di SMP Negeri Satu Atap 5 Baraka Kabupaten Enrekang

Research objectives: 1). To examine the level of learning difficulties of students at SMP Negeri Satu Atap 5 Baraka. 2). To analyze the role of Islamic religious education teachers at SMP Negeri Satu Atap 5 Baraka. 3). To find factors that hinder students' learning difficulties at SMP Negeri Satu Atap 5 Baraka. This study uses a qualitative method. The data needed in this study are in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. All collected data are analyzed in the form of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that 1). Students' learning difficulties generally include low learning motivation, limited basic ability to read the Qur'an, difficulty understanding learning materials, the influence of the family environment, and lack of attention to the learning process. 2). Islamic religious education teachers at SMP Negeri Satu Atap 5 Baraka have a fairly important role in overcoming the problem of students' learning difficulties through a family approach, moral development, providing motivation, implementing remedial measures, simplifying materials according to students' readiness, and intensive guidance in reading the Qur'an. In addition, teachers also collaborate with homeroom teachers, guidance counselors, and parents to create optimal learning support. 3) Factors that influence students experiencing learning difficulties, especially at SMP Negeri Satu Atap 5 Baraka, include a lack of interest and motivation in learning, poor reading and writing skills in the Qur'an, a lack of facilities and infrastructure, and a lack of school and family environment.
