Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Cooperative Learning Type Market Place Activity Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Siswa Dalam Mata Pelajaran PAI

This research was motivated by the low level of students’ critical thinking skills in the Islamic Religious Education The purpose of this study is to apply the Cooperative Learning Type Market Place Activity learning model to improve students' critical thinking skills in Islamic Religious Education subjects in class X of SMAN 19 GARUT. Research data collection techniques use observation, interviews, tests, and documentation as well as data analysis using three stages, namely data validity, data reliability, and hypothesis testing. Based on the results of the study, it shows an increase in students' critical thinking skills in Islamic Religious Education subjects by 86%. It can be seen from the pretest results that the experimental class obtained an average score of 60, while the control class obtained an average score of 59. After being given the treatment, the posttest score of the experimental class students averaged 86 and the control class averaged 76. Based on the results of the N-Gain test, a significance value of 0.66 was obtained so that the level of effectiveness was moderate, therefore it can be concluded that the application of the Cooperative Learning Type Market Place Activity learning model has a significant effect on improving students' critical thinking skills in Islamic Religious Education subjects.
