Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the intensity of Dzuhur congregational prayer activities on student discipline at SMKN 6 Berau. The background of this research is based on the importance of religious habituation as a means of developing religious character and discipline in public schools. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The population and sample consist of 65 students, as this study is a population research. The research instrument is a Likert-scale questionnaire with five response options, measuring two variables: the intensity of Dzuhur congregational prayer activities (X) and student discipline (Y), each consisting of 25 statements. Data were analyzed using classical assumption tests, simple linear regression, t-test, F-test, and the coefficient of determination with SPSS version 22. The results show that the intensity of Dzuhur congregational prayer activities has a positive and significant effect on student discipline. This finding confirms that consistent congregational prayer habits can effectively foster discipline character in religiously oriented public schools.
