Abstract

This study aims to develop a social media-based career Guidance and Counseling (BK) service using Canva and to test its feasibility and effectiveness in improving career planning for Generation Z students. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects consisted of 20 students. Data collection techniques used a student career planning questionnaire, a media expert validation questionnaire, and a student response questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out through descriptive statistics, the Shapiro–Wilk normality test, and a paired sample t-test. The results showed that the social media-based career BK service media was declared feasible by media experts. The effectiveness test showed a significant increase in student career planning after using the media, with a significance value of <0.001. In addition, student responses to the media were in the very good category with a percentage of 88.54%. Thus, the social media-based career BK service media using Canva is effective and relevant for use in improving career planning for Generation Z students.
