Budaya Baayun Maulid Banjar (Pendekatan Etnopedagogis Islam)
Keywords:
Baayun Maulid Etnopedagogi Islam, Kearifan LokalAbstract
This study examines the Baayun Maulid tradition of the Banjar community as a form of Islamic ethnopedagogy that integrates local wisdom with Islamic educational values. Baayun Maulid, a tradition of gently swinging children while reciting Maulid poems, carries religious, social, and philosophical messages transmitted across generations. Using a qualitative-descriptive library research method, the study analyzes literature concerning the concepts, symbols, and educational values embedded in this tradition. The findings indicate that Baayun Maulid facilitates the internalization of faith, worship, morality, social values, generosity, sincerity, tolerance, and optimism. This tradition highlights the importance of culturally-based education as a means to develop character and Islamic identity among the Banjar community, serving as a relevant model of Islamic ethnopedagogy for cultural preservation and character education in the modern era.
