Abstract

Education in Indonesia faces the challenge of weakening internalization of spiritual and moral values in learning practices, even though Islamic education has a strong normative philosophical foundation. This condition calls for critical reflection on the application of Islamic educational philosophy in the national education system. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Islamic educational philosophy and identify the gap between philosophical idealism and the reality of educational practice. The research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical literature study method, sourced from classical and contemporary literature as well as national education policy documents, which are analyzed through content analysis and reflective hermeneutics. The results of the study show that the application of Islamic educational philosophy is still formalistic and partial, so that the values of monotheism, manners, and balanced human development have not been internalized optimally. This study emphasizes the need to revitalize Islamic educational philosophy as a practical framework for building holistic and character-based education.
