Kajian Psikologis Tentang Peran Lingkungan Dalam Pembentukan Identitas Diri Mahasiswa

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis peran lingkungan kampus dalam pembentukan identitas diri mahasiswa dari perspektif psikologis. Fokus kajian meliputi sejauh mana faktor lingkungan sosial, akademik, dan institusional memengaruhi proses eksplorasi serta komitmen identitas mahasiswa. Menggunakan pendekatan campuran (mixed methods), penelitian melibatkan 120 mahasiswa UIN K.H. Abdurrahman Wahid Pekalongan melalui teknik stratified random sampling. Data diperoleh melalui skala identitas diri, skala persepsi lingkungan kampus, dan wawancara semi-terstruktur. Analisis kuantitatif dilakukan dengan Structural Equation Modeling, sedangkan data kualitatif dianalisis secara tematik. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa persepsi positif terhadap lingkungan kampus berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pembentukan identitas diri (β = 0,64; p < 0,01). Dukungan sosial merupakan faktor paling dominan, disusul norma akademik dan fasilitas kampus. Temuan kualitatif menegaskan bahwa penerimaan sosial, pengalaman organisasi, serta dukungan emosional dosen dan teman sebaya memperkuat kejelasan identitas mahasiswa. Perguruan tinggi disarankan memperkuat kebijakan pengembangan karakter dan dukungan psikososial.
