Pengaruh Penerapan Metode Sorogan terhadap Pemahaman Fiqh di SMP Pesantren Al-Qur'an Daarusshofwah

This study specifically evaluates how the implementation of the Sorogan method affects students' grasp of Fiqh at SMP Pesantren Al-Qur'an Daarusshofwah. As a traditional Islamic pedagogy, the Sorogan method emphasizes a highly personalized, one-on-one interaction between the teacher and the learner. An associative quantitative approach was deployed using a pre-experimental framework with a one-group pretest-posttest setup. A total of 32 students from grades VII and VIII participated, selected via total sampling. Data were gathered through Fiqh competency tests on the chapter of Thaharah (Wudu) administered before and after a semester-long implementation. Based on paired-sample t-test analysis, students' average comprehension score rose remarkably from 62.15 to 81.40. This is statistically supported by t count = 8.237, which substantially exceeds t table = 2.040 at the 5% significance level. The findings confirm that the Sorogan method exerts a highly positive and significant influence on enhancing Fiqh comprehension among students at SMP Pesantren Al-Qur'an Daarusshofwah.
