Analisis Penggunaan Aplikasi Mobile dalam Meningkatkan Maharah Istima'

The rapid advancement of mobile technology has brought significant changes to Arabic language learning, particularly in listening skills (maharah istima'). This study aims to examine the effectiveness of mobile application use in improving maharah istima', identify dominant development approaches, and discover supporting factors and implementation challenges. The method employed is a narrative literature review, analyzing 18 references consisting of 12 journal articles, 4 books, and 2 method references published between 2002–2026. The findings demonstrate that mobile applications such as Mondly Arabic, HATI, Smart Apps Creator, Duolingo, HelloTalk, and Quizlet have been empirically proven effective in improving maharah istima', evidenced by statistical tests (p < 0.05) and expert validation (scores > 300). The most dominant development approach is the ADDIE model. Supporting factors include time and place flexibility, interactive audio features, gamification, and immediate feedback. The main challenges are device access gaps, lack of teacher training, potential distraction, and limited authentic Arabic audio materials.
