Abstract

This study aims to analyze teachers’ strategies in instilling religious values toward the moral development of students at SD Wahdah Islamiyah Sangatta Utara. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. The research subjects consisted of the principal, teachers, and students. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used an interactive model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation.  The results of the study indicate that teachers’ strategies in instilling religious values are implemented through role modeling, habituation, advice, and the use of varied and contextual learning methods. These strategies have proven effective in improving students’ moral behavior, such as increased discipline, politeness, and awareness in performing religious practices. Supporting factors include teachers’ commitment, a religious school environment, and structured religious programs, while inhibiting factors come from family background and students’ social environment outside school. Therefore, appropriate and consistent teacher strategies play a crucial role in shaping students’ morals in accordance with religious values.
