Eco-Sunnah Sebagai Paradigma Baru Pembangunan Berkelanjutan Dalam Perspektif Islam
Keywords:
Eco-Sunnah, Islam, Pembangunan, Lingkungan, KhalifahAbstract
The concept of Eco-Sunnah represents a new paradigm in understanding Islamic teachings that emphasize the balance between humanity, nature, and God. This paradigm arises from the awareness that the global ecological crisis is not merely an environmental issue but also a moral and spiritual crisis. Through values derived from the Qur’an and the Sunnah, Islam teaches human responsibility as khalifah fil ardh (stewards of the earth). This study aims to analyze the relevance of the Eco-Sunnah concept to sustainable development from an Islamic perspective. The research method used is library research with a theological-normative approach. The findings show that the principles of Eco-Sunnah, such as balance (mizan), moderation (qana‘ah), prohibition of excess (israf), and the responsibility of stewardship (khalifah) can serve as moral and spiritual foundations for building a sustainable civilization. Thus, Eco-Sunnah is not merely an ecological teaching but also an Islamic solution to the crisis of modern civilization
