Gerakan Ingkar Sunnah (Dampak Historis Dan Sosiologis Terhadap Otoritas Hukum Islam)

Abstract

The movement to deny the Sunnah has emerged since the time of the companions, when Iran bin Hushain (52 H) was teaching the hadith, someone interrupted, saying that it was not necessary to teach it, but rather to teach the Quran alone. Responding to this statement, Imran said, "We cannot discuss matters of worship with its terms and conditions except through the guidance of the Prophet Muhammad SAW." Hearing this statement, the person realized his mistake and thanked Imran. This attitude of denial continues to the present day with all its denials and reasons for denial. And this has an impact on the way Muslims view the meaning of the Sunnah and the essence contained therein. Therefore, it is appropriate to respond to the movement of incarus sunnah with two approaches, namely: using a historical analysis approach and a sociological analysis approach. Historical analysis is carried out to gather information about the journey and development of the incarus sunnah group towards the development of Islam from time to time. Meanwhile, sociological analysis is to trace or seek the social impact of the emergence of the incarus sunnah group on the integrity of the Muslim community.
