Abstract

The rapid advancement of information technology in the Industrial 4.0 era has transformed how humans perceive and evaluate truth. This study aims to analyze changes in truth criteria by examining the relevance of coherence, correspondence, and pragmatism theories to digital information dynamics. The research employs a literature review with a philosophical-critical approach to trace epistemological transformations driven by technology and social media. The findings reveal that the pragmatic theory of truth becomes increasingly dominant in digital spaces, as truth is assessed based on its practical utility and social impact rather than purely logical or factual accuracy. The discussion emphasizes that truth in the digital age is adaptive, contextual, and functional. This study highlights the need to redefine truth in alignment with ethics and social responsibility amid technological disruption.
