Pengaruh Literasi Informasi Berbasis Internet Terhadap Karakter Tanggung Jawab Siswa

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of internet-based information literacy skills in supporting the learning process and fostering students' responsibility character in the digital era. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of internet-based information literacy on the responsibility character of students. The research method employed is a quantitative approach with a population of 60 students residing in the Al-Falah Islamic Boarding School. Data were collected through Likert scale questionnaires, which were tested for validity and reliability, and subsequently analyzed using regression statistical techniques. The results indicate that internet-based information literacy has a significant positive influence on students' responsibility character, with a regression coefficient of 0.549. The information literacy variable contributes 32.5% to the responsibility character, while other factors influence the remainder. Better skills in accessing, evaluating, and critically using internet information correspond to higher levels of responsibility, demonstrated through discipline, independence, and academic honesty.
