Optimalisasi Prestasi Belajar Melalui Evaluasi Formatif: Studi Empiris Pada Siswa MA Tarbiyatun Nasyiin

This research aims to explore the impact of structured formative assessment on improving students' learning outcomes at MA Tarbiyatun Nasyiin 1. Formative assessment is often viewed merely as a requirement, although it has great potential to identify learning difficulties at an early stage. This study employed a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design. The sample was selected using purposive sampling, consisting of an experimental class and a control class. Data were collected through achievement tests (pre-test and post-test) and observation sheets, then analyzed using the T-test and N-Gain Score. The results showed that the consistent implementation of formative assessment through short quizzes and constructive feedback increased students' average cognitive scores by 15–20% compared to traditional methods. The findings highlight the importance of quality feedback and an adaptive learning environment in improving students' understanding and confidence. This study recommends integrating technology-based formative assessment and self-reflection approaches to optimize learning outcomes
