The use of online loans as an alternative source of educational financing has increased alongside the development of financial technology and students’ growing need for quick access to funds. This study aims to analyze the practice of paying Single Tuition Fees through online lending platforms from the perspective of Islamic law. The research employs a library research method by examining books, scholarly journals, legislation, fatwas, and related documents. The analysis is conducted using the framework of Islamic commercial jurisprudence, focusing on debt contracts, the prohibition of usury, uncertainty in transactions, and the objectives of Islamic law. The findings indicate that educational financing through online loans is generally permissible as a form of mutual assistance. However, the imposition of interest, service charges, and late-payment penalties introduces elements of usury, while the lack of contractual transparency may lead to uncertainty. Although online loans facilitate access to educational funding, they also pose economic risks to borrowers. Therefore, Sharia-compliant educational financing is considered more consistent with the principles of justice and public welfare in Islamic law.
