Abstract

Public services in higher education institutions play an important role in supporting the success of educational implementation and increasing student satisfaction as service users. Good public service management can create services that are effective, efficient, transparent, and responsive to students' needs. This study aims to analyze the implementation of public service management in improving student satisfaction at Islamic higher education institutions. The method used is qualitative research with a library research approach through the examination of various literature, scientific articles, books, and documents relevant to public service management and higher education services. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of public service management through improving the quality of academic services, utilizing information technology, providing transparent information, and strengthening the competence of educational staff is able to increase student satisfaction. In addition, supporting factors such as leadership commitment, the availability of facilities and infrastructure, as well as a good service culture also contribute to improving service quality. On the other hand, limited human resources and technical barriers remain challenges in the implementation of public services at Islamic higher education institutions. Therefore, continuous efforts are needed in managing public services in order to meet students’ expectations and support the creation of better educational quality.
