Abstract

This study aims to formulate and develop a model for strengthening students’ religious character that is systematic, integrated, and sustainable within the educational environment. Strengthening religious character has become increasingly urgent in the context of modern education, considering the challenges of globalization and technological advancement that potentially influence students’ moral and spiritual values. The developed model is grounded in the national education objectives as stated in Undang-Undang Nomor 20 Tahun 2003 tentang Sistem Pendidikan Nasional, which emphasize the formation of individuals who are faithful, devoted to God, and possess noble character. This research employs a qualitative approach with stages consisting of needs analysis and literature review. The findings indicate that the model for strengthening religious character is effective when implemented through the integration of religious values into classroom learning, habituation of religious activities, teachers’ role modeling, reinforcement of school culture, and collaboration with parents and the community.
