Assessment of the Affective Domain in Islamic Religious Education Learning plays an important role in shaping the attitudes, character, and personality of students in accordance with national education goals. In practice, the implementation of affective assessment in schools still encounters various obstacles, both from technical and field implementation perspectives. This research is important because PAI learning not only emphasizes material mastery but also the cultivation of moral character, religious attitudes, and daily behaviors of students. However, research specifically discussing affective assessment constraints at the elementary school level, especially in PAI subjects, has not yet been widely found. Some previous research has focused more on cognitive aspects or was conducted at the secondary education level. This condition became the rationale for conducting this research. This research aims to identify the various challenges experienced by teachers in implementing affective assessment effectively in PAI learning at SDI Al-Anhar Karawang. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation study. The research findings show that teachers still experience difficulties in using standardized attitude assessment instruments, limited time for conducting thorough observations, and suboptimal understanding of affective assessment rubrics. Therefore, there is a need to develop a more practical, clear, and easy-to-apply evaluation model for PAI teachers at the elementary school level.
